40 Years Strong

In 1982, Altro Transformers opened its doors specializing in the design and manufacturing of transformers and DC rectification equipment. Over course of four decades our product range has expanded to include Medium voltage transformers and substations, Power Quality solutions, including Power Factor Correction, Voltage Optimisation and Harmonic mitigation equipment, and more recently in the renewable and alternative energy sectors.

Altro Transformers is synonymous with high quality and finish. Our range is comprised of a standard group of products as well as custom designed products for one off applications through to high volume OEM requirements. And when you have the team that designs, fabricates, sources, and installs in the same team, what worked in the factory will work in field avoiding costly onsite mistakes for our clients.

EXPANDING INTO RENEWAL ENERGY

Altro has taken our years of experience in energy reticulation and power distribution and expanded into the solar energy industry providing packaged power solutions. We manufacture commercial sized systems complete with string inverters, DC isolation and fusing, cooling system and smart communication and remote monitoring. For large solar projects we also manufacture skid mounted systems utilising central inverters. Packaged systems can be supplied complete with DC combiner cabinets, LV switchboard, SCADA and MV transformer/switchgear. 

Our focus remains on “Quality and Service”. Our in-house engineering and design facilities allow us to provide superior quality products and short lead times in a cost effective manner. All products are manufactured in accordance with the relevant Australian and International standards.
